Friday, 12 August 2005 01:39 pmI have been fairly useless recently. I have done an awful lot of laundry and not much else. I did change all the bedlinen single-handedly yesterday (no mean feat, as the duvet is a lot bigger than me and quite unwieldy) while Robert was cooking fabulous food (including marvellous dauphinoise potatoes).
I've just had a call from an agency about a job in Twyford, £10/hour, admin/PA work. I thought Twyford was hard to get to but actually there's a direct train from Reading West, I'd just have to be sure to catch it. The catch is that they want an immediate start, and of course I'm away for three weeks starting next Friday. I'm going to have to step up the sewing because if they do want me despite that I'd have to go in next week.
Probably nothing will come of it... I'm going to go through the ads I clipped from the papers yesterday, too, and see if there's anything I could possibly do without going mad.
I have begun eating large amounts of chocolate again, which is a bad thing. I will stop soon, really.
Have many plans for weekend. Must remember to phone brother tonight.
