Went to readthrough/party yesterday. Was lovely. Play was fantastic. I am shining example of true british girlhood, and everyone adores me. Oops, no, that's my character, the head girl. Kathryn has not read Molesworth, and I must rectify this at earliest opportunity. Robert left a couple of hours ago to run Changeling game in Reading. I have Japanese to do before class tomorrow. Mother still much the same. I spent morning arrnaging masses of flowers. I have lovely wonderful friends who give me hugs and pictures and crosses and all sorts of things. I was especially touched, for some reason, by the massive hug I got from Yves as I arrived :) Hooch is a most lovely bosy dog, even if he does have a very funny mane :)
Thank you everyone who was there yesterday - the evening made me very happy. I want to have a singing party (typo'd as 'sining', oops) sometime in the next three months at my house in Reading. Who would be interested? I sing lots of old and modern folk songs and some modern traditional-style songs. I play the guitar and flute and can accompany simply on the keyboard. I don't know how many people we can fit in but expressions of interest would be really good. Oh, and must arrange to go and sing with the Elly.
Could someone be very kind and comment with the dates of the next few read/singthroughs? Richard III and G&S are the ones I know I'm unsure of - MSND hasn't been rearranged yet, right? I probably woin't make either of the first two but I'd like to give myself the option :)
I am definitely not going to the Shards event next weekend. This is sad but cannot be helped. Must find out if I can transfer the payment to the next event. Must make list of things Robert must not forget to take.
I am not terribly coherent. I have finished reading 'The Queen's Fool' by Phillippa Gregory which is set in the reign of Mary Tudor. V. interesting historical novel. Not sure of accuracy but v. lively and engrossing. Enjoyed very much. Going to read 'Astraea' by Jane Stevenson next.
If anyone would like to see me sometime next week I would be happy to have a reason to get out of the house. I am not free Monday or Thursday nights, but (at present) anything else is fine. I am located near Raynes Park Station, and my postcode is SW20 8NS.
I like email. Please send me email about anything. I have set up a hotmail address to make it easier for me to receive attachments, so feel free to send those too.
Thank you for being lovely friends.
