This makes no sense.
Friday, 18 April 2003 10:05 amI'm tidying my room (and doing very, very well on it, though God alone knows when I'll make it home) and unearthed the UCAS Guide for Mature Students, which I sent off for a couple of months ago. Obn looking at the first page, it turns out I was right: universities and colleges define 'mature student' as anyone over the age of 21 at the start of the course. Why, then, for heaven's sake, does one not count as emancipated from one's parents for the purposes of financial support till one is 25? Christ. Stupid bloody rules.
