Stress subsided thanks to help from wonderful boyfriend. Must continue to investigate how things got so bad, though. Think probably me being stupid and not remembering figures correctly, or being able to add up.
Anyway, have now enough to buy cheap white elastic headband for final part of Whitby costume, which is on its way to completion. Skirt exists bar bottom hem, top is well on the way, all the buttons are ready and the fabric is prepared for the collar and cuffs. Duct tape is really useful. My sewing is getting much better. The Basic Needlework tome I bought in Hay-on-Wye is great, and I can now insert a zip fairly confidently, and even drew my own pattern for the top. Oh, and I've made the base fir the ears, too ;)
I am looking forward greatly to the weekend. Tonight, I am sewing frantically. Tomorrow, I have work, then BSL immediately after, then I'll be finishing off the outfit and sorting out other clothes. Thursday, I have a huge list of tasks to get done (which now includes visiting the bank) and then counselling at 3, then off with Robert up north. Yay! Who else will be at Whitby (other than the people in my house - I know about you!)
