The perils of fancy fonts

A really silly thing I did some weeks ago now, and had forgotten to write about till now.

I was in the centre of town, walking down New Inn Hall Street (I forget why) when I noticed a shop I hadn't seen before. It had a large sign in a 'handwritten' kind of font, reading 'Geek'. 'Wow!' I thought, 'it'll be one of those cool shops with gadgets and fun t-shirts and all sorts of shiny stuff!' It had rather posh-looking clothes in the wndows, but I dashed across the road anyway.

I entered an emporium of wildly expensive, very attractive girly urban-bohemian-type clothing. I looked around for a while, bemused, decided I couldn't afford anything, and departed. As I left, I turned round and examined the sign again.

Not 'Geek' after all, but 'Seek'. Damn.
