... the birthday wishlist I sent to my mother just now. (21st on the 8th, party of some kind on the 19th, details soon).

Subject: Hello! Ideas!
From: Lucy Kennedy
To: Jackie Kennedy

Right well, I've been thinking. Here are some ideas for things I'd like:
a graphics tablet for my computer;
a new printer (though I am likely to buy this one myself anyway);
an mp3 player (as in, portable little one);
a scanner;
money for clothes and shoes;
an electric guitar *grin* and amplifier;
a makeover/skincare consultation - my skin is quite odd and I can't seem to find skincare products which help;
some guitar lessons (I need to learn how to do barre chords!) or singing lessons;
maybe more flute lessons, I'm a bit out of practice;
money for CDs, books, etc;
specifically, any Melissa Etheridge album OTHER THAN 'Breakdown', 'Skin' or 'Your Little Secret';
CD: the greatest hits Bon Jovi album, which is called 'Crossroads';
Book: 'The Cost of Discipleship' -Dietrich Bonhoeffer;
and ‘Bonhoeffer: an Illustrated Biography’ by E. Bethge;
a small (Gem-size) Latin dictionary;
likewise German dictionary and Greek dictionary;
an etymological dictionary of English, or maybe a rhyming dictionary;
a set of camera-cleaning equipment and perhaps a book on photography;
the book 'Learning Perl' published by O'Reilly, written by Schwartz and Phoenix;
a shakuhachi- Just Flutes sell them;
big packs of beads;
the bead fittings called 'French crimps' (not calotte crimps) if you can find them (they're like tiny siver beads you can squash with pliers to grip the thread, but I can't find any anywhere);
hmm, I'm running out of steam...

Is that useful?

I think some of that is pretty darn unrealistic :) And I wonder how my housemats would react to me having an electric guitar. ..

Just out of interest, is anyone reading this any good with MIDI keyboards and input software? I have one at home, but I have never quite been able to set it up properly with the software, and I'd love to.

Argh, I have the most horrible cold in the world, and I'm worrying that my ear is starting to ache too. This is really not good; I can hardly breathe. And I have nobody to huggle me :(
