Monday, 2 February 2004 05:23 amStill no sleep that I've noticed. I can't tell whether I drop off occasionally between coughs; I'm sitting upright in bed, propped up with two pillows and two cushions, using the bars of the bedhead as a headrest. It wouldn't be a very restful position if I were feeing 100%, but as it is it's the only way I can find to avoid having to struggle upright every minute to cough, and then lie down again.
I simply can't go to work tomorrow. I guess I will have to arrange another doctor visit so I can get a certificate, in case I can't go back on Tuesday.
I'm so looking forward to being able to talk again, and getting my appetite back, and SLEEPING like normal people. Not hearing the chirpy birds outside every morning would be a bonus. No that they're unpleasant - they just indicate that yet another dawn chorus has arrived and I've had no sleep.
