no sleep yet. am forcing robert out at 9 to buy me more medicine. I cannot go on coughing like this and not do myself serious damage. other than this and the side-effects (ears, shoulders, etc) I feel just fine.

I am SO TIRED.

I had a problem like that when I picked up a nasty flu last summer. I had quite a dry cough, so I was taking a dry cough medicine. It was hell -- I went several days without sleep. I then, out of desperation, tried a chesty cough version (Robitussin I think it was), with the result that I stopped coughing and immediately fell asleep for about 18 hours straight.
