I have just finished an entire Bill Bryson book, half a packet of tropical fruit juice and most of a punnet of cherry tomatoes, all consumed in bed, with heater on, wearing strange pseudo-pyjamas and silly socks.

I decided that dammit I was going to get something done (since I've had plenty of relaxing time really, having spent all of Sunday and most of last night curled up with Chalet School books and cups of bovril) and I've got another job application nearly-finished.

Thursday is not *very* long to wait now.
I know... but he's only going to be here for a visit, only Thursday night until Sunday morning at most, and after that I have absolutely no idea when I'll next see him again... so it doesn't even feel like "waiting till Good Thing happens", it feels like "waiting till last definite chance of seeing each other EVER". I don't know if I can get enough hugs in during 3 days to last me for, well, weeks? months? or however long it turns out to be. :-(
(Have been thinking about you recently, actually. It would be nice to see you again sometime.)
It would be lovely to see you again. No idea when, but you're not that far away, at least not on a train... you must come and visit some time. Or I could come to you. Or, er, thingy. Badgers.
See, this is why I never quite manage to email you, because I start emails and they go "Um. Hello! Badgers." and go downhill from there, and I'd feel silly sending people emails quite that dappy ... so, er, I'm being that dappy in public instead. Um, that makes sense. Right. ... I think I need to go to bed soon. :-}
