Because I want to print labels ASAP I have come up with a design; it has no connection to the name of the business other than the Japanese angle, which is not ideal, but it's pretty. Thoughts?
I'd suggest something less techy for the web address font, but other than that pretty, simple, readable and easily recognisable which is what you want in a logo, really.
'hikari' means 'light' in Japanese. 'Lucy' comes from the Latin 'lux' which also means 'light'. It's the reasoning behind my username too - 'hikari' was taken so I used 'taimatsu' meaning '(pine) torch' - like flaming torches used in festivals. :)
I think it's very cute and nice. Agreed that the url font is a bit hard but also agreed that softening it might make it less readable... although I guess even if it's not very readable, people will probably be able to make the leap to interpreting it via the name of the business. Would be interesting to see a variant, anyway!
i like it, agree that url font could do with being slightly softened - and maybe the url moved down a fraction so that the bottom of the flower has a smidgeon more room ?
