Breakfast
What do you eat for breakfast? I want to find something easy, tasty and quick to eat which will give me energy and keep me going for a good long while in the morning. Tell me what you eat or make suggestions for me. (I don't really get on well with cold cereal. I'm bad at keeping fresh milk in the house. I often eat things like bread with cold meats and fruit.)

Cheese on toast is a good breakfast, with tomatoes on top.

How about banana and jam sandwiches on bread-with-nuts-and-oats-and-seeds in?

We have that at weekends sometimes when we have more time. Otherwise I have some kind of cereal with soya milk and banana, or toast with peanut butter and banana.

(Although last night I got carried away with eating oats and mixed coconut milk and chocolate chips with them and ate them for pudding. :) )

I'd suggest wholemeal bagels but British bagels suck!

Generally I'll cycle into work, grab a bag of fruit on the way, and eat the banana or plum. Then I'll have a mug of porridge, and snack on the rest of the fruit throughout the day.
This morning I am having leftover spaghetti bolognese for brunch.

I need to get back into the habit of eating proper breakfast again, it does wonders for helping me lose weight, surprisingly.

1. Toast and Marmite. I love this, but it tends to leave me hungry mid-morning.
2. Fruit smoothie (a couple of small pieces of fruit whizzed in my hand-held blender with some fruit juice) poured over cereal. Very filling, slightly more preparation time, relies on me being organised enough to keep fruit in the house, noise of blender might annoy housemates if I had any. The fruit smoothie is often enough on its own to keep me from being hungry, since you say you're not keen on cereal.
3. Something involving "proper" cooking i.e. more complex than a toaster. I had scrambled eggs this morning. See also porridge, beans on toast or a boiled egg with soldiers. Restricted to weekends only, because I prioritise sleep over breakfast during the week.

We also frequently have eggs but they require more work by the cook (not me).
Failing that toast and marmite but I always need 11 o'clock food if that's all I eat.

On weekends, often a full English (well, nearly-full - sausage, bacon and fried tomato). I realise this may not help much. Or once in a while US-style pancakes and syrup, or scones, or hash browns.

Sometimes if I'm really hungry and can't handle it anymore, I'll make a cup of instant oatmeal. I prefer the Fruit 'n Cream variety pack, and all you need is a styrofoam cup and some hot water, so it's easy to make quickly.
