If you were going to reduce your belongings to the absolute minimum, with extra stuff being stored for you, what would you put on the list of stuff to keep? Consider the problem as analogous to going into student halls, and focus on *winter* stuff. All thoughts very welcome. I have a list but I'm trying to work out if I've left anything off it.

Okay, thanks for the responses to the last entry about minimum necessary belongings - useful ideas and food for thought there! Now a more practical question - if you were going to pack up several rooms' worth of stuff into boxes, and you didn't have a car or a lot of money, where would you get the boxes? I can bus myself to a self-storage place that sells boxes, but I think they are rather expensive. I've tried the 'ask at local convenience store' thing, and it worked but also resulted in the chap at the shop getting Too Interested in me. *sigh*
