(no subject)

busy day. Didn't do enough in the morning, then went out to counselling, followed by bank trip. Didn't manage to open an ISA because they needed proof of address as well as ID, which I didn't have with me. Should be able to do it next week, though; and I have the application form. I finally changed my address with them, too.

Then went home via Miss Selfridge, where I bought a small quantity of things, mostly from their Seconds sale bin upstairs. The only full-price item was a lovely pair of oriental-style hair-bobbles; also got a thin studded belt for 50p and a pair of Black Leather Driving Gloves!!!! *ahem* for 9UKP. They just have one half of a press-stud missing, which I can sort out very easily.

These are all costume elements for that Ventrue ghoul I've been planning for ages. I have tried on most of the outfit tonight and she's shaping up to be a kind of Amazonian Revenge of the School Swot. It's fuuuuun. Steve, any thoughts on that yet, given the National is approaching?

Have vacuumed downstairs and am off to do more wahsing up and tidying shortly, after dealing with room some more.

Going home tomorrow morning early. There will be a lack of LJ till Monday, because I wish to avoid leaving my URL in the internet logs of the family computer and thereby alerting them to its existence. I think it's otherwise fairly untraceable.

Much Stuff continues to happen in my life - news as it comes in.

Hang on, you can change your address on one account but can't open another with the same people because they don't have evidence of your address? That's mad.

Did you ever expect sanity from banks?!

According to my bank, one can only cease to be a student in July. Never mind that I'm a grad student, so my year technically ends in September and I will be starting work in April, months before that. And cheque books - I have a lovely lefty cheque book. Because it's lefty, it doesn't have paying-in slips in the back, so I have to get a paying-in slip book. Which is righty. Maybe I should look around for a bank with a better outlook, but they're all fairly stupid about something or other.
