I scrobble my music to
last.fm
and subscribe to the RSS feed of gigs they think I should go to. I also subscribe to the feeds of individual artists gigs there. I think the basic structure of the feed is:
http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/1.0/artist/artist_name/events.rss
(with underscores replacing all spaces in artist names)
