Regular second-year undergrad. For most of us this is likely to be first taste of 'literary theory' or any specific type of critical approach/political slant on literature.

I might be more aware of some kinds of issues than some of the group and can't expect the theory bit to exactly fit what I'd want to discuss. Equally I'm sure there must be other people chafing at some of the simplistic specifically textual stuff going on.
