A couple of questions - is this a regular under/post grad course or specifically adult ed? What level is it?

I've no idea how to phrase this without annoying someone somewhere but there will be, in any given group, people well above the level of the group, and people well below the level. It's possible everyone else in the group is as annoyed as you are at the level, but it's also possible that there are people struggling to deal with what, for you, is pretty basic stuff - and the lecturer has to negotiate that...
