I scalded my torso badly in the shower last night - it's just shading into a second-degree burn, but it covers a wide area. I have had invaluable support and looking-after from [livejournal.com profile] ladyfrances and [livejournal.com profile] crocodlewings. We called NHS Direct and the advice was to go to A&E in the morning to get it dressed. Lucy and I have just woken up, so we are probably heading off there shortly. I am ok. It hurt a lot and I was very wobbly last night, but after a night covered in frozen vegetables it feels much better and is generally no more than uncomfortable. I will probably be online later, I can't say for sure. I think I am going to be fairly immobile this weekend letting it recover. Fortunately I think I have no plans.

My phone is out of commission as it is out of charge and I have lost the charger, so trying to call me is futile right now. Rikk may be able to buy me a new one today, and I'll post if that works out.

This sounds terrible.

I hope you get good help and heal quickly.

Poor you *kiss*

I'm glad I got to talk to you last night, even in such unpleasant circumstances. I hope we get to chat on MSN later.

*cuddle*

after a night covered in frozen vegetables

Very sorry to hear you were hurt and hope better soon, but you must admit that is rather an amusing image.

Ouch! I hope you get well looked after (and have the shower fixed).

BTW, need an extra "i" in [livejournal.com profile] crocodilewings I think.

Agh, poor you! Definitely a good idea to get it seen; large areas should always be looked at.

I hope all proves well! *careful scald-avoiding hug*

If it covers a wide area, it's serious. Do get it looked at!!!! *hugs*

Oh my goodness. That sounds even worse than what my mum did. She tried to inhale with hot salt water and dropped the bowl with the hot water on her lap. Her legs were burnt. I was in a complete shock. I was little at that time and did not know what to do. She let cold water run over it. Your area is much more sensisitive. Ouch!
I hope you get well looked after and heal very soon.
E-hugs from me, too.
