no subject

Weekend. So tired.

Friday night, workmate's birthday meal. First time I have ever done proper social thing with lots of workmates. Went rather well, delicious pie (venison and wild boar!), had fun. Came home; slept.

Saturday (all with Robert); went into Reading, went to music shops, bought food from Marks and Spencer, drove to Windsor, went to Elly's play (very good indeed, must re-read Wide Sargasso Sea), drove Mark back to Reading, met Adrian and Nigel for food at Chili's, hung around in cafes and pubs for hours, went to 11pm showing of Harry Potter (pretty good, glad I saw it, might try to see intervening films), went home, got into bed at half-two, failed to sleep for over an hour, finally got warm and tired enough, slept.

Spent this morning in bed. Now debating whether to try to get to Hobbycraft before it closes at 4.30.

Retail frenzy!

Oh, I forgot to mention I bought myself a new phone yesterday. A phone. A phone which works, and does not cut out in the middle of calls because it was last charged more than three hours ago, and does not allow me to answer calls but prevent the caller hearing me at all, and which does not need to be thumped to make the LCD work properly... It's a Motorola clamshell design, it will take pictures, has a colour screen, and has my old SIM in it, so I have all your numbers, and my number hasn't changed. I don't have my old saved text messages, but I don't think there was anything vital in there.

I'm going to read the manual tonight. But yes, phone away!

Have just been to Hobbycraft, courtesy of the marvellous, adorable, heroic, fantastic, utterly super Robert, and have spent slightly more than I should've on supplies for making Christmas presents. I am pleased :)
