And the other film...

'State and Main', a film written and directed by David Mamet, is absolutely faaaaaabulous. I loved it. I'm too knackered after my mammoth Ghibli post to do a proper review. Let's just say that the film has a reason to be made, as it were, a point to its story; the characters are engaging, funny, and well-played, and there are some *great* lines. It's about what happens when a big Hollywood movie comes to a small town. You should see it if you haven't already. Go you Huskies!

Have you seen a play called 'Stones In His Pockets'? Sounds very similar..

State and Main was definitely my favorite Mamet, but don’t you find his misogyny a little tiresome film after film. I do at least.
